Brad Pedersen is an award-winning entrepreneur, author, angel investor, thought leader and sought-after business coach. In 2008, he founded and scaled one of Canada’s top toy companies and then merged it to co-found Basic Fun, a company known for iconic brands such as Lite Brite, Tonka, K’nex, Care Bears and Mashems.

He exited the toy business in 2017 and subsequently co-founded Pela, the sustainable phone case startup backed by Jay-Z that created an entire $100 million new category. In 2021, Brad and the team at Pela successfully launched a record-breaking $9.8 million crowd-sourced funding campaign for Lomi, the world’s first smart kitchen composter creating the new category of Smart Waste.

Brad has a passion for business, his faith in God, fitness, adventure and outdoor pursuits and has aptly chosen to build his life surrounded by the beauty of the lakes and mountains of British Columbia.
