Recently, strong winds brought down one of Inspire FM’s repeater towers in Summerside, Prince Edward Island.

We’re incredibly thankful that no one was injured. But the damage has left part of our network off the air, interrupting our ability to share the hope of Jesus with listeners who depend on Inspire FM every day.

As we’ve worked with our engineers to plan the repairs, it’s also become clear that this is the right time to complete another important transmission project that has been part of our long-term plans for Prince Edward Island.

Along with restoring the fallen Summerside tower, we need to make important improvements to another PEI radio tower site. These upgrades will significantly expand our coverage area, allowing the message of hope found in Jesus Christ to reach even more homes, workplaces, vehicles, and communities across the Island.

Rather than completing these projects months or years apart, we’re able to address both needs together, reducing future costs and positioning Inspire FM to serve Prince Edward Island more effectively for years to come.

To move forward, however, we need to act quickly. Engineering work, equipment purchases, and installation need to begin as soon as possible so we can restore service to our current listeners while also completing these long-planned improvements.
