Recently, I had the privilege of attending the Teen Challenge Atlantic Gala Dinner in Moncton, NB. It was one of those evenings that stays with you long after the event is over. Not because of the decorations, the room, or even the fundraising itself, but because of what you could feel happening underneath it all.
Hope. Restoration. Lives being rebuilt.
As I listened to testimonies and watched people gather around a shared mission, I was reminded of something powerful….
Often, we think about money only in terms of accumulation, security, investments, tax planning, or retirement goals. While those things matter and absolutely require wisdom and intentional planning, there is another side to financial stewardship that deserves equal attention: Impact.
Money can sit still, disappear without intention, or become part of something greater than ourselves. At the gala, I watched generosity become movement.
I watched business owners, families, professionals, churches, and community leaders come together around the belief that people’s lives can change. And suddenly, money stopped being numbers on statements or balances on screens. It became recovery. It became restored families. It became second chances. It became hope for someone who thought their story was already over.
And it reminded me that some of the greatest forms of legacy are not always the ones we can physically hold in our hands. Sometimes legacy travels through people. Sometimes through ministries. And sometimes through airwaves.
That may sound simple at first, but the more I reflected on it, the more profound it became.
A radio signal is invisible. You cannot physically hold it, measure its emotional reach, or fully calculate the impact it may have on someone’s life in a difficult moment. Yet every day, Christian radio enters homes, hospital rooms, workplaces, vehicles, and quiet moments of loneliness or uncertainty.
A worship song at the right moment. A message of hope during a painful season. Biblical truth reaching someone searching for direction. Encouragement entering a home where fear, anxiety, or discouragement had settled in.
And today, the reach extends far beyond a local tower. Through the mobile app and online streaming, a message rooted in faith can travel across Atlantic Canada and around the world instantly.
What begins as a local ministry can become a global encouragement, reaching people far beyond the communities where it was first supported.
That is not just technology. That is kingdom infrastructure.
I have experienced this personally more than once.
About two years ago, I found myself driving at an unusual time of day. As usual, InspireFM was playing in the background. A Focus on the Family program was already underway, discussing the impact of divorce on children. Several young people were sharing their experiences and the pain they carried through their parents’ separation. I was married for 18 years and have three children from my first marriage. As I listened, something unexpected happened. Their words pierced straight through my heart.
I had to pull into a parking lot. Until that moment, I believed I was the one who had carried most of the pain from the divorce. Listening to those children speak made me realize how much my own daughters had been carrying.
I sat there weeping. Then I prayed.
I prayed for healing in my children’s hearts. I prayed that the mistakes we made as parents before we knew the Lord would not become weapons used against them. I prayed for forgiveness, restoration, and for God to bless each of my children with strong, healthy marriages so that future generations would experience something different. What began as an ordinary drive became a moment of conviction, healing, and renewal.
On other occasions, I have found myself driving through seasons of uncertainty as my husband faced health challenges that at times appeared serious. More than once, a song of hope, gratitude, or God’s faithfulness came on at exactly the right moment. What started as a drive filled with worry often ended with a renewed sense of peace, gratitude, and confidence that God was still in control.
That is the quiet power of Christian radio. My story is the story of hundreds of thousands of people who tune in.
Christian radio often does it quietly. Consistently. Faithfully.
One testimony that reminds someone they are not alone.
One song that arrives at exactly the right moment.
One teaching that helps someone take their next step in faith.
One message at a time.
As someone who works closely with families and business owners on financial planning, estate planning, and legacy conversations, I often ask people to think deeply about what they truly want their resources to accomplish beyond themselves. Most people do not simply want accumulation for the sake of accumulation. They want peace of mind. They want stability for their family. They want to help their children. They want to support causes that align with their values. They want their lives to mean something.
The Bible speaks often about stewardship, generosity, and multiplication, not simply as financial concepts, but as matters of the heart.
In 2 Corinthians 9:10-11, we read:
“Now may He who supplies seed to the sower, and bread for food, supply and multiply the seed you have sown and increase the fruits of your righteousness, while you are enriched in everything for all liberality, which causes thanksgiving through us to God.”
There is a beautiful principle here: what God places in our hands has the ability to multiply when surrendered with wisdom and purpose.
Not every investment produces only financial returns. Some produce eternal ones.
And perhaps one of the most overlooked forms of impact today is consistent, faithful support of ministries that quietly strengthen people every single day.
We may never fully know how many people chose not to give up because hope reached them through a speaker, a program, a testimony, or a simple song that reminded them that God still sees them.
Ecclesiastes 11:1 says: “Cast your bread upon the waters, For you will find it after many days.”
I cannot help but think how beautifully that image reflects the ripple effect of generosity today. A seed planted in faith may travel farther than we ever imagined. A donation may seem small in the moment. But when placed into trustworthy hands and aligned with a meaningful mission, it can travel across cities, provinces, countries, and generations. It can strengthen families. Encourage hearts. Advance the Gospel. And remind people that they are not alone.
That is the power of money in motion.
Not simply wealth that accumulates, but stewardship that multiplies hope, healing, wisdom, and restoration. Because when money moves with purpose, lives truly change.

Great and Informative message and very relevant for us today!
We don’t always know the Impact that we make in the lives of those around us. I kind word, a simple gesture! Snack of kindness to someone who is struggling with their work, a family member or even having challenges in paying the bill or put food on the table. Each of us has the ability to provide a lift up to our brothers and sisters who are struggling with who knows what. We can make advances for the kingdom through many different channels. Whether it is an encouraging word , a helping hand or a simple act of generosity . All these can make a difference in the lives of those who or struggling. . I read the article posted on the radio stations website as was pleased to its very content..It was both informative and interesting as extremely relevant.
